Bug & Worm #183
I know, I know. Too much Bugbert and Wormword. This is it for a while, I think.
Bug & Worm #183I know, I know. Too much Bugbert and Wormword. This is it for a while, I think. More questions for youse guys and galsJune 23rd, 2009Hey, anybody out there have any suggestions on new ways for me to send you Bug & Worm (maybe an email list or something)? I need to add something new to the site to get myself excited (other than yet another comic). Should I start some kind of Q & A or round table with you all in the Chatter section down here? Oh, also, I posted this in the comments for a recent B & W, but I thought I’d re-post it here in case you missed it (it’s about why I do the pixel B & W the way I do): I have these little rules I’ve set up for myself when showing Bug & Worm’s world. That’s why they are always seen from the same angle and at the same distance from the viewer. I kind of want to confine everything to a small, bug-sized space. If I start taking them all over the place and showing all kinds of far-off lands, it wouldn’t feel as much like a Bug & Worm strip to me (that’s part of why I started the hand-drawn Bug & Worm Adventures strips. I could take them different places, but it was a totally different style. It was distinct enough that it worked for me). I know that all of that limits me quite a bit in what I can show, but I like working within those parameters. Bug & Worm live in a yard somewhere in Suburbia with access to a tiny sidewalk, a beach, and a laboratory that creates tiny animals. Up to date updateMay 11th, 2009In my continued state of wishy-washiness, I’m going to commit to two new pixel strips a week, for the time being. I’ll try for a Tuesday-Thursday schedule. If you were one of the peopleses who liked the hand-drawn stuff better, just hold on for a bit. My brother and I are working on something… Not again…May 3rd, 2009It will be at least a few more days until a new Bug & Worm strip. I don’t want to be one of the web cartoonists who just gives up on their strip, but right now I feel like I’ve used up all of my ideas for Bug & Worm. Hopefully, if I take this break, I’ll get recharged and come back with all guns firing. In the meantime, if you feel like writing a Bug & Worm, Bug & Worm Adventures, or B & W Clippings, please do! I can’t promise I’ll draw it, but if it tickels my funny bone, I just might. You can either post the script here in the comments, or email it to me at eroomba (at) gmail.com. Also, I want to give a great big THANK YOU to everyone who has been checking out the site on a regular basis. I want to give an even bigger THANK YOU to everyone who has been commenting and giving me all the great feedback and encouragement. And finally, a huge THANK YOU to anyone who has been reading since before I even had any kind of real site for the strip. All of you rock my socks off! Virtual head nods/high fives/hugs to all of you (pick whichever makes you the least uncomfortable)! Too Vanilla?April 22nd, 2009NOTE: If you are not a fan of aimless rambling, please ignore this post. I need to ask everyone a question: is Bug & Worm too “vanilla?” I try and make it very accessible and not overly offensive, but I’m starting to wonder if that’s driving people away. I have a habit of being weird just for weird’s sake, and I’ve tried to stay away from that as well, since it’s so overdone. I guess I’m just having trouble trying to decide what to do with Bug & Worm, since I feel like I’m getting close to repeating myself. There’s only so many times Bug can something goofy and Worm can roll his eyes… Site down yet againApril 13th, 2009Sorry, everyone! The site was down for a bit due to power problems! |
