Bug & Worm #179
Remember to check out everyone’s versions of the Seven Wonders of the Bug World over in the last strip’s comments here (and feel free to add your own!).
And yes, Worm regretted what he said in panel 3 as soon as he said it.

Sweet leaping gazelles! I was all excited about the possibility of the cinematic glory that would be contained within anything titled “Killer Dust Bunnies from Jupiter”. Sadly a google search has left me bereft of joy.
Clearly it must have been a limited release in bug theatres only… dammit.

Whoa, that was a short trip! Have a nice fall…
And Chase, “Killer Dust Bunnies from Jupiter” is obvously a movie just waiting for the right producer to come along and make it.

I have these little rules I’ve set up for myself when showing Bug & Worm’s world. That’s why they are always seen from the same angle and at the same distance from the viewer. I kind of want to confine everything to a small, bug-sized space. If I start taking them all over the place and showing all kinds of far-off lands, it wouldn’t feel as much like a Bug & Worm strip to me (that’s part of why I started the hand-drawn Bug & Worm Adventures strips. I could take them different places, but it was a totally different style. It was distinct enough that it worked for me). I know that all of that limits me quite a bit in what I can show, but I like working within those parameters. Bug & Worm live in a yard somewhere in Suburbia with access to a tiny sidewalk, a beach, and a laboratory that creates tiny animals.
