Bug & Worm #244

Man, it feels like I’ve done more that 244 of these things. I guess I’ve done a lot of B & W Adventures and Clippings, too. Hrm. I made the first B & W GIF animations and put them up on a site back in 1996 or 1997, so they have been around for 13-14 years. Crazy times. One day I’ll figure out a feasible way to make little Bug and Worm figurines. I think if I can do that I’ll finally feel like Bug and Worm have come into their own. Does anyone out there have any suggestions on how to make Bug & Worm figurines/sculptures happen? Have I asked this before?

I’m just gonna put this out there: Plushies > figurines.

    13-14 years? Yikes.

Sean Archer, the webcartoonist who does Milo the Cloud posted a great blog entry about how he made his figurines:

There is also a toy-making service out there, but it requires votes (website users vote for their favorite ones, the winner gets their toy design made). I have no idea what happens with copyright and legalities on the toys themselves. Although a lot of other webcartoonists have used it, it’s best to check it out yourself:

The only problem with plushies is that Worm would just be a green tube…

Sorry your reply didn’t go up until now, Ahmed! It was awaiting moderation on the admin site because of the links even though I thought I had turned that off.
