Thanks for Everything (A Farewell to Bug & Worm)!!
September 14th, 2010As all off you who check the site regularly know, I’ve been having a hard time keeping Bug & Worm going for a while. I really wasn’t planning on ending the strip right now, but after I read the last strip a few times I realized it was unintentionally a great and simple way to wrap things up. So instead of throwing together more hastily drawn backgrounds and making another joke about how weird Bug is, I’m just going to let Bug & Worm go. Thank yo SO MUCH to all of you who have checked back week after week and always taken the time to post a comment or witty remark, even when the strip was pure crap. You are all my heroes.
I will keep working on LAIR OF THE LIZARDMIN and I’ll probably just move any random blog posts over there. If I ever come back and do anything at all with Bug & Worm again for any reason I’ll be sue to post it here.
Thanks again everyone for rocking my socks off and for letting Bug & Worm attempt to rock off yours.

Ah that’s too bad! I’ve enjoyed your comic for a long time, thanks for drawing these comics all this time!

Well, all good things must come to an end, I guess! Thanks for the laughs you gave us through Bug and his friend Worm.
As a last resort my eyes instinctively went to check the date to make sure it isn’t April Fool’s Day! Strange, I know. I’m sure in one alternate reality it is April Fool’s and the strip will continue… excuse me while I go find it!

It’s like the end of an era…

Oh well. I can understand wanting to go off and do something else. But I’ll bet you return to Bug and Worm eventually–I’ll give you a year.

Thank YOU for all the laughs and great art over the last… (checks archive) 5 years? Really? Wow!
The writing has been on the wall for a while, so if this the very end, I’m glad you sent them off on a positive note, instead of fading into “new update coming soon!” obscurity. You gotta do what you love, and I hope you keep doing just that in the future, whatever it happens to be. Cheers!

hey man! It’s been a while since I last commented on your blog, but I’ve been reading it all the time! I’m still wondering how anybody can do anything on a regular basis… like do a webcomic and stuff. Because I’m really not able to! But I can understand all to well how at one point the energy (or just the time) are running out, and you need to stop.
Whatever… hope you’re doing fine! And that something new and wonderful will grow out of this “end of an era”

A late Thank You to you, macsnafu! I have kind of been thinking of bringing Bug & Worm back, but I’m not sure if it will be the same. hrm.

With Bug and Worm, you have strong, distinct characters. While Lizardmin has potential, all the Lizardmin are more or less interchangeable with no strong, distinct characters. Perhaps introducing some strong characters will help you come up with new ideas for Lizardmin.
